Inventing Artists: Esittelytilaisuus

Tule kuulemaan Inventing Artists -yhteisötaideprojektista sen tekijöiltä.

Kuinka kuvitteellinen artisti syntyy? Sitä kahdeksan oululaista henkilöä selvittää neljän viikon ajan kestävässä Inventing Artists -yhteisötaideprojektissa.

Ryhmän tavoitteena on keksiä yhdessä valokuvaukseen erikoistunut taiteilija ja luoda hänen elämänsä sekä työnsä Oulussa ja sen ympäristössä. Osallistujat rekonstruoivat taiteilijan työn otteita keksimällä ja luomalla niitä itse. Projekti huipentuu näyttelyyn, joka esittelee kuvitteellisen taiteilijan työtä yleisölle.

Esittelytilaisuudessa paikalla myös taiteilija Thomas Plischke, joka yhdessä Kattrin Deufertin kanssa on työskennellyt Inventing Artists -konseptin parissa vuodesta 2005 asti.

Yhteistyössä Valveen kaupunginosakulttuuri, deufert&plischke, D-asema, Photo North – Pohjoinen valokuvakeskus ja Goethe-Institut Finnland.

Come hear about the Inventing Artists community art project from its creators.

How is a fictional artist created? That's what eight people from Oulu are exploring in the four-week-long Inventing Artists community art project.

The group’s aim is to jointly invent an artist specializing in photography and to find and create her life and work in Oulu and the surrounding area. Throughout the project, participants will reconstruct snippets of the artist's work by inventing and creating them themselves.

Also present at the presentation event will be artist Thomas Plischke, who, together with Kattrin Deufert, has been working on the Inventing Artists concept since 2005.

In collaboration with Valve Urban Neighborhood Culture, deufert&plischke, D-asema, Photo North – Northern Photography Center, and the Goethe-Institut Finland.
