VERTEP - perinteinen ukrainalainen Jouluesitys

Ukrainalainen joulu on mahdoton kuvitella ilman Vertepiä, katuteatteriesitystä. Vertepin osallistujat kulkevat talosta taloon, laulavat joululauluja ja kertovat Jeesuksen Kristuksen syntymästä. Ukrainalainen kuoro "Solovejki" kutsuu teidät katsomaan perinteisen ukrainalaisen joulunäytelmän nimeltä "Vertep", jonka kautta voitte kokea Ukrainan joulun taianomaisen hengen. Näytelmän pääteemana on valon voitto pimeydestä. Näyttelijät ovat aikuisia ja lapsia. Näyttelijöiden repliikit ovat ukrainaksi, ja kohtaukset selitetään suomeksi ja englanniksi. Laulamme myös ukrainalaisia joululauluja.

Ukrainian Christmas cannot be imagined without Vertep, a theatrical street performance. Participants of Vertep would go from house to house, singing Christmas carols and telling the story of Jesus Christ’s birth. Ukrainian choir "Solovejki" invites you to a Christmas performance "Vertep", so that you can experience the magical spirit of Ukrainian Christmas. The main theme of the performance is the victory of Light over Darkness. Children and adults take part in the performance. Actors' lines are in Ukrainian, descriptions of the scenes will be provided in English and Finnish. We will also sing Ukrainian Christmas carols.
