Information about the Ticket Office and Tickets
The Ticket Office is located on the first floor of Valve, in the vicinity of the Hallituskatu street side’s entrance.
Tickets for Valve’s events are also sold on Ticketmaster, and therefore event tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster Outlets and online as well.
Ticketmaster
Buy tickets conveniently from Ticketmaster.
Handling, Service, and Delivery Fees: From Valve’s Ticket Office you purchase your ticket without any additional fees. When purchasing tickets from Ticketmaster, handling and service fees as well as possible delivery fees will be added on the ticket price.
Prices and Discounts: Ticket prices and possible discount categories vary depending on event location, performance, and organizer. The event’s organizer decides the availability and amount of possible discounts. Certificate authorizing a specific discount must be presented by request.
Wheelchair Accessible Spots: When purchasing a ticket from the ticket office, please inform us about the possible use of a wheelchair. Valvesali Hall mainly has three (3) wheelchair accessible spots for sale per event. For Valvenäyttämö Stage, and Studio Cinema it is possible to sell 1-2 wheelchair accessible spots. Wheelchair accessible spots and assistant spots are for sale at Valve’s Ticket Office and Ticketmaster Outlets.
Personal Assistants: Assistants (of customers using wheelchairs, customers with vision impairments, or customers with other disabilities) are justified to receive an assistant ticket for performances free of charge. Assitant tickets can be redeemed along with the assisted customer’s ticket from Valve Ticket Office.
To Be Noted
Depending on the event, Valvesali Hall might have a numbered or unnumbered stand in use. Valvenäyttämö Stage, and Studio Cinema’s stands are both unnumbered.
As a rule, it is not possible to let in people arriving late for performances. Please check the event’s starting time from your ticket, and be there on time.
Payment Methods
Valve Ticket Office accepts most common bank/credit cards, SmartumPay culture benefits, ePassi culture benefits, Edenred Virike benefit’s card payment (Must be paid by using the physical or electric Edenred Card. Payment through Edenred App is not accepted), and cash as payment methods.
Purchased tickets can not be changed or returned.
Please note that the culture benefits are personal, and therefore buying tickets for friends or family members is not possible. Personal identification must be presented upon request.
Out of Smartum’s payment methods, SmartumPay mobile app can still be used to pay the city’s sports and culture services. We encourage employers to start using the digital sports and culture benefits instead of the sports and culture vouchers (paper form) in the future.
(The City of Oulu Offices stopped accepting Smartum’s paper vouchers 31.12.2022.)
Booking Tickets
You can book tickets by calling the Valve Ticket Office within its opening hours. Booked tickets must be reclaimed a day before the event at the latest.
Incase of Event Cancellation
If the event gets cancelled, customers who have purchased a ticket and left their contact information, will receive a text message, an e-mail, or a call about the cancellation.
Tickets of the cancelled event can be changed to another date and time if the performance schedule in question so allows. You can also get a refund. Valve Ticket Office, ticket dealer or event orgaizer will instruct the customer about the refund. Please note that in the case of a cancellation we won’t refund the delivery, order, and service fees.
Part of the Kaikukortti Card Network
Cultural Centre Valve is a part of the national Kaikukortti card network. Kaikukortti card holders can reclaim event tickets for themselves, free of charge. You are also able to get an additional ticket for your child, grandchild or child of a blended family under the age of 18, for the same event you’re attending.
You can get your tickets without the service fees from Valve Ticket Office, for the Valve events that offer Kaikukortti tickets. When reclaiming tickets from other Ticketmaster outlets, you’ll be charged for the Ticketmaster service fee even if the ticket itself is free. There’s a limited amount of Kaikukortti tickets per each event. When booking or purchasing the ticket, please give us your Kaikukortti card number, and prepare to show your card upon request.
