The proposed program can take place anywhere between 8 AM and 11 PM, depending on the space available. Valve will be open until 11 PM. Program can be organized in Restaurant Valveen Paljetti, Dance Halls, Kantti Crafts Workshop, Meeting Room, Studio and in the lobby outside Valvesali Hall.
Valve will offer the event organizers a space, as well as its technical equipment to use free of charge. Valveen Paljetti, the Dance Halls, Meeting Room and Studio all have PA-systems available.
Please note that you will be acting as the event organizer yourself and are therefore responsible for all possible permits, licenses and copyright payments you might need (for example Teosto-, Sanasto- and Gramex -licenses). Any music performances happening on Paljetti’s stage will fall under the restaurant’s Teosto -permit. The performer is however responsible for submitting a performance notification to Teosto for any Teosto copyrighted music performed/used.
The events will be marketed as a part of the Valve Arts’ Night marketing on our social media platforms, as well as on Oulu event calendar and Valve’s website. Please also read our cooperative communication page.
The event organizers must commit to follow Oulu August Festival’s Principles of a Safer Space, and aim to reduce the environmental impact of the event.
Include the following information in your proposal: event organizer’s information, preferred starting and ending time, the space you’d like to use at Valve and a description of the program’s content (what and to who).
