The events of the Cultural Centre Valve have been cancelled and the Centre is now closed temporarily

The City of Oulu decided that all non-essential events, hospitalities, and other occasions organised by the city will be cancelled until the end of May to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The decision bases on the Finnish Government's recommendations given on 12 March 2020. The recommendations and decision apply also to the operations and activities of the Cultural Centre Valve.

The public events and performances of Cultural Centre Valve in March–May have been cancelled and the Valve is now closed to the public. According to current information, the Valve will be closed until the end of May.

We announced earlier in Finnish that all the activities at Valve have also been cancelled for the spring season. All groups and operators will be informed separately about the situation.

We actively follow the situation and communicate with the authorities, and will inform about any changes on our website and in social media.

Arja Huotari, Pauliina Eronen and Timo Pirttimaa from Valve follow and provide information about the situation. Please contact them if you have any questions.
